Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,930 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,437,073 as of Wednesday, Sept. 15. The total number of cases represents 14.4% of Los Angeles County’s population.
Officials reported 37 new deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 25,748 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.26% of Los Angeles County’s population.
There were 10 fewer hospitalizations reported, bringing the offical count to 1,214.
According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 67% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 12,384,345 vaccine doses have been administered as of Sept. 15.
