Reseda Charter High School cadets stand tall at Friday’s inspection at Police Academy Magnet

A formal inspection of student cadets enrolled in the Police Academy Magnet at Reseda Charter High School was held on Friday in the school’s south gym.

The cadets were eyed by Police Academy Magnet coordinator Alise Cayen, Los Angeles School Board Member Kelly Gonez, Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michel Moore, Reseda Charter High School principal Melanie Welsh and Los Angeles Police Department-School Police Chief Steven K. Zipperman.

Along with the inspection, there was the inaugural induction of Reseda alumni into the Law Enforcement/Public Safety Hall of Fame.

The Police Academy Magnet at Reseda Charter was established in 1998 and attracts students seeking careers in law enforcement. The school emphasizes college preparatory subjects, community service and physical training. The magnet is located at 18230 Kittridge St.
