Jake Dunham was among those killed in the mass shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill on Wednesday.
His father, Ken, told NBC News early Thursday that he had tried to reach his 21-year-old son repeatedly.
“I keep calling it but there’s no answer,” he told NBC Los Angeles. “It just keeps ringing out. And he always answers his phone.”
Some published reports said that Dunham was at Borderline with his friend, Blake Dingman, who also was among those killed.
