Real Madrid plan swoop for Harry Kane

Sports Illustrated reports that Real Madrid could spend up to £500m to “overhaul the team” this summer and have placed Tottenham striker Harry Kane at the top of their transfer target list. A source at Real has said that the club has a €600m (£534m) transfer warchest but cautioned that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would demand a world-record transfer fee of more than €300m (£267m) for Kane.

Toby Alderweireld: Tottenham to Manchester United

Another Spurs star who could also be set for a move is defender Toby Alderweireld. The 28-year-old “continues to stall on a new contract”, says the Manchester Evening News, and United are “monitoring” the situation.

Jack Butland: keeper denies he wants to leave Stoke

Stoke City and England goalkeeper Jack Butland, a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, has denied telling the Premier League club that he wants to leave. Butland tweeted: “Before this spreads any further, I haven’t told the club I want to leave. I’m focused on doing everything I can to keep the club in this division! Stop believing everything you read.”

Ander Herrera: Manchester United to AC Milan

Italian club AC Milan are preparing a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera. According to Tuttosport, and reported by the Daily Star, the Serie A side are plotting a £30m bid for the Spaniard whose Old Trafford contract expires next summer.
